Confirm Your Authorisation Status
Before launching financial services ads, you must be authorised by the FCA. If you’re unsure about your status, you can check the FCA Financial Services Register to verify your firm’s authorisation.
Before You Begin
If your ad promoting a financial product or service has been rejected due to non-compliance with Meta’s financial services advertising policy, you may need to confirm your FCA authorisation. To complete this, ensure you have:
A Meta ad account.
Your FCA firm reference number (FRN) – If you haven’t completed the FCA authorisation process, you’ll need to do so before proceeding.
An email address with a domain that matches the website listed in the FCA register or the phone number associated with your FCA authorisation.
If you’re an Instagram advertiser without a Meta ad account, you must link one to your Instagram account.
Steps to Provide Your Authorisation Information
Access Meta Ads Manager
Open the notification prompting you to confirm your FCA authorisation.
Alternatively, go to Meta Business Support Home.
Click See violations for the rejected ad and then Verify now.
Enter Your FCA Firm Reference Number (FRN)
If your organisation is listed in the FCA Financial Services Register, Meta will prompt you to verify via email or phone.
Confirm Your Identity
Choose a verification method: email, phone call, or SMS.
Enter the confirmation code sent to your selected method.
Submit and Receive Confirmation
Once submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation on-screen and via email that your verification is complete.
What to Do if Your Ad Was Incorrectly Rejected
If you believe your ad was mistakenly rejected because it doesn’t fall under financial services or doesn’t target UK audiences, you can request a manual review through Meta Business Support Home by clicking Request review.
